Life Seeds held its 2nd annual food drive at a local Safeway grocery store Saturday, April 16, 2016. It was a beautiful day and we were greatly blessed by the community’s participation and interest in our cause.
Thanks to our 10 wonderful volunteers, we were able to take turns manning the grocery store, loading bags of groceries into cars, and sorting them at the pantry.
In total, we estimate that Life Seeds received about 12 shopping carts full of non-perishable items! The donated goods will allow us to feed disadvantaged families in the area for half the year. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our volunteers, Safeway, and the Benton County community.
