Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Pastor Satyanandam has ministered in tribal communities for many years in Andhra Pradesh. He needs a new roof for one of his churches. Please pray for Pastor Satyanandam and Jayan who is trying to assist him and his congregations in this season of his life. Please pray for his health and a pastoral helper to come along side Pastor Satyanandam.

Pastor Kana's land for church buildin

Pastor Prasad’s Land for Church Building

Jayan wrote in January: “I visited Tribal Pastor Prasad’s church. He is working very hard gathering people to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in a new area”. Please pray for Pastor Prasad’s safety, wisdom, and strength as he builds a church there. Lee and I visited a church he pastors in 2019 that Life Seeds helped build for his congregation. We really enjoyed worshipping and sharing  with his congregation!

Jayan wrote in March: “We are able to drive through woods and valleys in persecuted areas in Andhra Pradesh and strengthen the church and it’s leaders wherever possible. Praise God for safe travels and protection through the trip and to train 40 pastors in Tribal Area. We encouraged them to stand firm in Christ during the persecution period and mobilize the whole church to be involved in the Great Commission and teach Jesus methods of discipleship. Everyone is encouraged and said it’s enlightening for them and first time hearing this teaching. At Lunch meeting with pastors they shared lots of persecution. Believers beaten and sent away from their villages losing everything. We then headed into the mountains towards Chhattisgarh and found unreached tribes. No pastor or believer dared to reach these tribes as they have links with Maoist group. 4 pastors were killed suspected by these groups as informants. Please do pray for these people groups to be reached.”

Jayan wrote in April: “All glory to God the trainings went really well (Punjab and Haryana) except for Uttarakhand where there is a lot of persecution and Aghoris and Sadhus in Uttarakhand. (The Aghoris are a sect of ascetic Shaivite sadhus who practice a unique and extreme form of Hinduism. They are known for their bizarre and unconventional rituals, such as dwelling in cremation grounds, smearing ashes on their bodies, using human skulls as utensils, and eating flesh from human corpses. Siva is worshipped). Lots of spiritual warfare there. We had a prayer walk in that area. Praise God we laid our feet there and hope revival will break through.”

ASHA local outreach team shares the good news of God’s love, prays for the people, and discovers local tangible needs.

Jayan wrote in April : “We praise God for the ministry opportunity that the Lord has given our church to reach 3 remote tribal villages in Andhra Pradesh. There is no good road facility or church there. People live on the mountains. We couldn’t go by vehicle to one of the 3 villages so we walked with the help of sticks. We rented a lorry (truck) and reached 2 other villages and shared the gospel, prayed for the sick, and blessed them with clothes and medicines.”

A nice building was offered to ASHA Ministry rent free for a Youth Discipling School the month of May and a follow up Five month Youth Training Program. Extremely hot weather, transportation, and a cultural conflict limited the opportunity. However, Jayan’s church was able to hold a VBS in that building and May Youth Discipleship Training at their church.

Jayan wrote August 1st: “Praise God for His faithfulness, provision, protection and safe travels back home from our flooding outreach.  So sad to see all the crops, roads and houses washed away. People are in desperate need of food and warm clothes. We reached only 3 villages but plan to go back on Monday to reach 2 more villages. We shared the love of Christ and prayed for them.” Thank you for your prayers and support bringing tangible help and hope during increased persecution in India and an unusually bad rainy season of flooding.  Your prayers are so appreciated for protection and restoration for Oregon farmers, ranchers, business owners, fire fighters, and all families who are now battling summer wildfires.
